flottra vs FollowLiker: a FollowLiker alternative for X in 2026

This page is for you if you ran FollowLiker on X accounts, or went to buy it and found the order page paused. It puts FollowLiker next to flottra line by line, with sources, and says plainly where FollowLiker still has the edge.

Everything about FollowLiker below comes from its own site, followliker.com, checked 24 September 2026. Everything about flottra describes the product as it ships in the open beta.

FollowLiker and flottra at a glance

What FollowLiker is, and what it does well

FollowLiker is a desktop application sold per network. Its Twitter Edition says: "You can follow users, unfollow users, post tweets, retweet, reply tweets, favorite tweets", and it lists sending direct messages too. Tasks are scheduled per account, each with its own time range, each account can use "public or private proxies", and the site promises you can "manage unlimited number of client's profiles". The Twitter page also lists "Auto unlock accounts".

• The whole loop in one app. Follow, unfollow, like, retweet, reply, post and DM sit side by side, which is more X actions than flottra runs.
• Several networks. The Full Edition covers Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and Tumblr in one purchase.
• Mac as well as Windows. TwitterDub points Mac users to a virtual machine, as Jarvee did.
• A licence you hold. A one-time payment plus a small monthly fee, and "a license can be moved to another computer any time".

Where it stands in September 2026

Clicking Order Now leads to a page that reads: "Follow Liker is getting updated. Please check back later", with a form to be notified. The pricing page still lists every edition; Wayback Machine copies of it are identical from April 2021 to August 2025, and the footer reads "Copyrights © 2021". None of that says the product is finished, and this page does not say so either. It does mean you cannot buy a new licence today, and we could not verify whether current copies still work on X. Breakage when X changes its site is a risk for every tool that works through the website, flottra included.

How flottra differs

A panel at flottra.com keeps what should run and when; a Windows app on your own computer opens a real, visible browser for each account and does the work there. No browsers run on flottra's servers, and nothing runs headless. It does not use the official X API: it drives x.com the way you would by hand, which X's rules count as scripting the website (see the rules section below).

Each account gets three things of its own: a persistent browser profile whose cookies stay in that account's folder on your disk, a proxy, and a fingerprint. The browser is flottra Engine, flottra's own Chromium-based engine, which gives every account a fixed fingerprint seed, so canvas, WebGL, audio, fonts, GPU strings and screen differ between accounts and stay the same on every launch and every computer. Time zone, language and location come from the proxy's exit IP. A proxy is required: without one, the account's browser does not open. The background is in antidetect browsers for X accounts and choosing proxies for X accounts.

What runs today

• Following. From a list you paste per account, up to 500 usernames at a time, and optional discovery through X people search using the account's persona search terms. At most one follow per account every five minutes, six an hour by default, 80 a day under the growth routine's default, and routines run from 09:00 to 22:00 on the account's own clock (see auto follow).
• Text posts, up to 280 characters. A one-off post you write in the panel, or a posting routine whose text is written with your own AI key (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Mistral, xAI, DeepSeek or Groq) or by your own Claude Code through the MCP server. flottra does not sell AI credits.
• Likes and replies, in two narrow ways. Pods, on Pro and Team, point 3 to 6 of your own accounts at one target in mixed order and spaced out: follow, like, or reply with text you give. Or an AI agent schedules them as tasks through the MCP server. There is no automatic like or reply routine.
• Profile changes. Display name, bio, website, avatar, header, username and password, one account at a time or in bulk.
• Session checks and Start now. The app reports whether an account is logged in, locked or suspended, and Start now opens an account's own browser (same profile, proxy and fingerprint) for you to use by hand.

New accounts pass a warming gate counted from the day they are added to flottra: days 0 to 2 allow three actions a day and no follows, days 3 to 6 allow six with follows, days 7 to 13 allow twelve with replies, and the gate opens on day 14. The posting routine does not run in the first 14 days. It is a gate, not an activity: flottra does not scroll or browse to warm an account.

Computers pair with an 8-character one-time code over an outbound connection, with no port to open, and every plan allows as many as you like. Each runs one task at a time and keeps 1 to 6 account browsers open between tasks (roughly one per 4 GB of RAM).

Where FollowLiker is the better choice

If you already hold a FollowLiker licence that still works for you, these points are real. For a new buyer, the paused order page comes first.

• You work on a Mac. FollowLiker lists Mac builds; flottra's app and engine run only on Windows.
• You need unfollow, DMs or retweets. FollowLiker lists all three; flottra does none of them.
• You want likes on a schedule by themselves. Favoriting is an ordinary FollowLiker action. In flottra a like needs a Pod or an agent through MCP.
• You also run Instagram, Pinterest or Tumblr. flottra covers X only.
• Cost at scale. The unlimited Twitter Edition at $97.99 plus $5.99 a month costs less over a year than any paid flottra plan.

If you want an actively updated desktop bot with those actions today, TwitterDub by RootJazz is one. Its latest build, 3.924, is dated 13 September 2026; it runs on Windows, and by its own description it "automates exactly the HTTP REQUEST communications" instead of using the X API. It lists following, unfollowing, liking, commenting, retweeting and DMs, and sells as a one-time licence ($97 on offer, listed at $127, checked 24 September 2026). What flottra does not do

• No macOS or Linux app, and no mobile app. Windows only.
• No unfollow: no non-follower cleanup and no bulk unfollow.
• No DMs, retweets, quote posts, threads, polls, images or video.
• No automatic like or reply routine, and no AI-written replies.
• No captcha solving. An email or phone verification at login stops and waits for you.
• No account creation and no proxy sales. Datacenter proxies are refused, and SOCKS is not supported in practice: use HTTP proxies.
• No post analytics such as impressions or engagement.
• No cloud browsers: if your computer is off, tasks wait.

X’s rules and the risk both carry

X's automation rules, marked "Updated April 2026", contain three sentences that matter here:

• "Use non-API-based forms of automation, such as scripting the X website. The use of these techniques may result in the permanent suspension of your account." (listed under what not to do)
• "You may not like posts or hide replies in an automated manner."
• "You may not follow or unfollow X accounts in a bulk, aggressive, or indiscriminate manner."

FollowLiker's site does not say whether it uses the API, a browser or direct requests. But X's developer changelog for 16 April 2026 says: "Following, Likes, and Quote-Posts via the API have been removed from all self-serve tiers." A tool that follows or likes today without enterprise API access is working through the website, which is what the first sentence describes. flottra is in that group too, openly: it drives x.com in a browser, it is not compliant with X's automation rules, and it does not claim to be.

On likes, flottra has no like routine, but Pods and MCP tasks are still automated likes when you use them, and the rule applies to them in the same way. What flottra changes is pace and separation, not the rule: a warming gate, an hourly follow cap, a separate profile, proxy and fingerprint per account, all on your own computer. Pricing compared

FollowLiker's pricing page, checked 24 September 2026, while its order form was paused:

The site says "Monthly subscription is on per-license basis" and "One license per system". The unlimited Twitter Edition over a first year works out at $97.99 plus 11 times $5.99, about $164 per computer.

flottra charges per account, and computers are free on every plan: Free $0 for 2 accounts with no card, Starter $39 a month for 10, Pro $99 a month for 40, Team $299 a month for 150, and $4 a month per extra account. Pods are on Pro and Team only; everything else is on every plan, Free included. flottra is in open beta: card payment is not switched on yet, so paid plans are arranged directly at hello@flottra.com. Which one to choose

Choose FollowLiker if:

• you already own a licence that still works for you, especially on a Mac;
• you need unfollow, DMs or retweets on X;
• you run Instagram, Pinterest or Tumblr accounts from the same app.

Choose flottra if:

• you work on Windows and run several X accounts, each in its own browser, proxy and fingerprint;
• you want follows paced and new accounts gated by default rather than tuned by hand;
• you want posts written with your own AI key, or by an AI agent through MCP;
• you want to start with two accounts free now instead of waiting for orders to reopen.

Using both works too, FollowLiker for the actions flottra lacks and flottra for other accounts, as long as each account stays in one tool with one proxy.

Moving from FollowLiker to flottra

1. Sign up through the open beta. The Free plan covers two accounts.
2. Install the Windows app and pair it with the 8-character code from the panel.
3. Add your proxies (residential, mobile or ISP, as HTTP) and give each account its own.
4. Import accounts in bulk, one per line: username:password[:email[:emailpassword[:2fasecret]]][:auth_token]. The auth_token cookie is the recommended login; otherwise the app signs in with the password and generates the 2FA code itself.
5. Paste each account's follow targets, or turn on discovery in a routine.
