What managing means here
Search for how to manage multiple Twitter accounts and page one is three kinds of answer: the official account switcher, a handful of accounts under one login; antidetect browsers, which keep profiles apart and automate nothing; and management suites built for one brand across many networks. flottra is a fourth shape: a list of accounts, each with its own login, proxy, status and follow targets, kept by one panel and worked through by your computer.
Add accounts one at a time, with the username and password, an optional email, an optional 2FA secret, an optional auth_token cookie and a preferred proxy type, or import a list, one account per line in the shapes shown beside this. With an auth_token the account starts active with a ready session. Without one it starts as warming, and the app signs in with the password and the 2FA code the first time it runs a task for it.
Every account carries a status the panel and the app keep current: warming, active, limited, locked, suspended, retired or cooling. A session check reads back whether it is logged in, locked or suspended, and a failed task can change the status on its own, so the list tells you which accounts are alive before you schedule anything.
Quota is by plan: 2 accounts on the free plan, 10 on Starter, 40 on Pro, 150 on Team, and extra accounts at 4 USD a month each. At the quota the panel refuses a new account with a clear message instead of failing quietly. Export the list at any time as a re-importable text file or as JSON, with or without the secrets; an export that includes secrets is written to the audit log.
Each account has its own follow targets: paste handles, up to 500 in one go, deduplicated, and the follow loop works through them. Passwords, 2FA seeds, email passwords, cookies and proxy passwords are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM and sealed to your computer's own key before they travel to the app. The honest part: the encryption key is ours, not yours, so the panel host can decrypt. You can reveal a password in the panel on request, masked by default, hidden again after 60 seconds, with an audit row each time.

Isolation
One account, one browser profile, one proxy
What decides whether accounts stay separate is not a setting in flottra, it is what X can see: the IP address, the cookies and the browser. The app keeps all three apart per account, and this page says plainly what it does not do.
Each account runs in its own persistent Chrome profile on your disk, with its own cookie jar, and the profile ages with the account the way a real one does. The first run downloads Chromium, about 180 MB; if Google Chrome is installed the app prefers that. The browser is always a real window on your screen, never headless.
Each account goes out through its own proxy. Residential, mobile or ISP only; a data centre proxy is refused when you add it. You bring them: flottra does not sell proxies and does not route your traffic through its servers. No proxy, nothing runs: the app will not open a browser for an account that has none. One proxy per account is the rule the product recommends and the MCP prompts enforce; the panel itself does not stop you sharing one between accounts.
What it does not do: the app does not build a fingerprint to match the proxy. The browser runs with your computer's timezone and locale, at a 1280 by 800 viewport, whatever country the proxy exits from. If your accounts need a timezone that matches the exit IP, that is a setting on your machine or a job for a separate antidetect browser. Display name, bio, website, avatar, header, username and password, for one account or in bulk with per-field pools so no two accounts share a bio. Location is a known open gap: X does not keep what the app types there.
What runs on the hosted beta today
- Follow from a pasted target list: every 5 minutes the scheduler on our side queues the next target for each active account, at most one follow per account per pass and never past the account's warming phase or its hourly cap, and the app follows it in that account's browser and confirms the button reads Following.
- Likes and replies with text you supply, or that an agent supplies through the MCP server. The app never calls a language model.
- Session checks that report logged in, logged out, locked, suspended or proxy failed, and read the profile back.
- Profile work, available for one account or in bulk: display name, bio, website, avatar, header, a username change and a password change.
- Pods on Pro and Team, and the warming gate on everything scheduled: the follow loop, pods, identity and the MCP server.
- Standalone browser profiles: a Chrome with a fixed proxy and persistent cookies, opened on the paired computer for you to drive yourself.

How it works
Three steps from a browser tab to the first task running on your own computer.

Create a workspace
Sign up with a name, an email and a password, then name the workspace. The free plan is 2 accounts, no card, and it passes the app’s licence check like any paid plan. - 02
Install the Windows app and pair it
Download the installer (about 87 MB; it is unsigned, so SmartScreen asks once). In the panel, Add device shows an 8-character code as XXXX-XXXX; type it into the app within 10 minutes. The app only ever calls out, so there is no port to open. - 03
Add a proxy, an account, and who to follow
Add a residential, mobile or ISP proxy and assign it. Add the account, ideally with its auth_token cookie. Paste the handles it should follow. Every 5 minutes the scheduler queues the next one and the app follows it in that account’s own browser.
One computer, one task at a time
The app polls the panel every 15 seconds and runs one task at a time, with random human-like delays inside each task. Close the window and it keeps working from the tray. Quit it, or close the laptop, and the queued rows wait as pending and run when it is back, one after another. Nothing is lost.

Pods, on Pro and Team
Several of your accounts on one target, never at once
A pod is a group of 3 to 6 of your own accounts acting on one target: follow a handle, like a post, or reply with text you wrote.
The members are shuffled, the first one fires after 20 seconds to 2 minutes, and each member after that waits a random 1 to 4 minutes, so the accounts never act in the same minute and not in a fixed order.
The pod skips members that cannot safely act: suspended, locked and retired accounts, and any account whose warming phase does not yet allow the kind. A new account in its first three days is refused a follow, and the pod goes on without it. An MCP server in every workspace
The flottra MCP server gives Claude Code, Claude Desktop or any MCP client the same workspace: 89 tools to import accounts and proxies, schedule likes, follows and replies across many accounts, and read diagnostics. One key per workspace, created in the panel with read or read-and-write scope. Destructive and bulk tools are a dry run until they are called with confirm: true, and every write is audited. What X says
The rules, quoted, and what flottra claims
You "may not follow or unfollow X accounts in a bulk, aggressive, or indiscriminate manner", you "may not like posts or hide replies in an automated manner", unsolicited automated direct messages are not permitted, and scripting the X website "may result in the permanent suspension of your account". Updated April 2026.
flottra is browser automation and it does automate follows, likes and replies. It does not claim those rules do not apply, and it does not claim compliance. What it does is refuse the shape of activity X names: one task at a time per computer, at most one follow per account every five minutes, a warming gate for new accounts, staggered pods, and one proxy per account. That reduces the rate at which accounts are locked or suspended. It does not make it zero, and nobody can. Questions
Questions people ask about managing multiple X accounts
- Can I have multiple Twitter accounts under the same email?
- As of 2026, X’s help page on managing multiple accounts describes adding and switching between accounts, and each account needs its own email address: one email does not register two accounts, while a phone number is looser. flottra does not create X accounts. When you add an account you already own, the email you enter is stored with that account and is not compared with the others, so the email rule is X’s, not ours.
- Can people see if I have multiple Twitter accounts?
- Not from your profile. X publishes no list of the accounts behind one person, email address or phone number. What links accounts is what X’s systems and other people can infer: the same IP address, the same browser and cookies, posts that go out in the same minute, the same photo or link on several profiles. That is the whole reason flottra gives every account its own browser profile and its own proxy, and staggers pods instead of firing the members together.
- How can I add another account to my Twitter?
- In the X app or on x.com you add an existing account from the profile menu and switch between them; as of 2026 the help page describes that flow, and the switcher holds a handful of accounts under one login, on one device, from one IP address. In flottra you add an account on the Accounts page with its username and password, an optional 2FA secret and an optional auth_token cookie, or import a list, then assign it a proxy. Each account then runs in its own browser.
- How many X accounts can flottra manage?
- As many as your plan holds: 2 on the free plan, 10 on Starter, 40 on Pro and 150 on Team, with extra accounts at 4 USD a month each. At the quota the panel refuses a new account with a clear message. The practical ceiling is different: one proxy per account, and a computer running the app that opens those browsers one task at a time. You can pair as many computers as you like on every plan.
- Does it run the browsers on your servers?
- No. The panel on flottra’s servers keeps the accounts, the proxies, the follow lists and the queue of tasks; it never opens a browser. The Windows app on your computer polls the panel every 15 seconds over an outbound connection, opens a real Chrome window in the account’s own profile through the account’s proxy, runs one task at a time and reports back. Nothing connects into your machine and no port is opened.
- Do I need my own proxies?
- Yes. flottra does not sell proxies and does not route your traffic through its servers. Add residential, mobile or ISP proxies with host, port, username and password, one at a time or as a pasted list; data centre proxies are refused. Without a proxy an account does nothing: the app will not open a browser for it. There is no proxy test button in the panel today; the test exists as a tool in the MCP server.
- Is the beta free?
- The free plan is 0 USD for 2 accounts, no card, and the beta is open: create a workspace, install the app and add your accounts. Paid plans start at 39 USD a month for 10 accounts. Payments are not switched on yet: an upgrade is recorded as a request and applied by hand, and nothing is charged automatically. Write to us if you need more than two accounts while you test.
