Free beta, open to anyone who runs X accounts
Join the free beta
flottra is in open beta. Create a workspace, install the desktop app on your Windows computer, add a proxy and one X account with its auth_token cookie, and the first task runs from your own machine. The Free plan covers two accounts with no card. Paid plans are not switched on yet.
What you get
What the beta includes
The product as it is today, with the people who built it one email away. The list is short because the page you land on after signing up is where the rest lives.
- 2 X accounts, free, no card
- The Free plan is the plan every workspace starts on: 2 X accounts, nothing charged, no card asked for. It is a plan, not a trial: there is no end date on it and no countdown in the panel.
- The desktop app
- A Windows app that runs a real Chrome window per account on your own computer, through your own proxy, and reports back to the panel. Credentials are encrypted at rest on the server and reach the app sealed to that one paired device.
- The whole panel
- Accounts, proxies, devices, tasks, routines, personas, growth, outreach, identity and the MCP server for AI agents, at the same limits paying workspaces get. One exception: Pods, the account-group feature, is on the Pro and Team plans.
- A direct line to the people who built it
- Report a problem from inside the app or write to hello@flottra.com; the people who answer are the people who wrote the code. Feedback lands in an inbox we read, and none of it is dropped.
- A product that changes fast
- Beta means the app updates itself often and the panel changes under you. Things you relied on can move or be renamed between one week and the next. The app tells you when an update is waiting; the panel just changes.
- A checklist that knows where you are
- The dashboard computes five setup steps from the database: installed, paired, proxy added, account added, first task finished. It highlights the next one and hides itself when you are done.
Before you start
What you need
Four things, and only the first two cost anything. If you already run X accounts by hand, you have all four.
A Windows computer that stays on
The app runs the browsers, so work only happens while the computer is awake and the app is open. A laptop that sleeps pauses its share; the tasks wait in the queue until it is back. macOS and Linux builds are configured in the project but not published yet.
X accounts you own, with their auth_token cookie
Each account is added with its username and password. Pasting the
auth_tokencookie as well seeds a ready session and the account starts active. Without it, the app tries a password login once on the first task and pauses that route for six hours if X refuses; the cookie is the reliable path.To find it: in a browser where the account is logged in, open the developer tools, then Application, Cookies, x.com, and copy the value of
auth_token. It is a long hexadecimal string. One proxy per account, yours
flottra does not sell proxies and never routes your traffic through its servers. Bring one per account from a provider you trust, residential, ISP or mobile, and assign it in the panel. The app refuses to open an account without one.
Which proxies to buy for X accountsAbout ten minutes
Sign up, install, pair, add a proxy and an account, run a test task. The checklist in the app tracks each step, and the first task usually tells you within a minute whether the account is logged in. Reading the two guides linked on this page takes longer than the setup.
Why X accounts get suspended
After you sign up
What happens after you sign up
These five steps are the checklist on your dashboard, word for word. Each one is ticked from the database as you do it, so the next step is always the highlighted one.
- 01
Install the flottra app
Download the Windows installer from the sidebar or the Devices page. It is not code signed yet, so Windows shows a SmartScreen warning: click More info, then Run anyway. After that the app updates itself.
- 02
Pair this computer
Add a device in the panel to get a pairing code, valid for ten minutes, and type it into the app. The app then asks the panel for work every fifteen seconds; the step ticks once it has checked in.
- 03
Add a proxy
Add a proxy on the Proxies page: host, port, username, password. Residential, ISP or mobile, one per account; there is no test button in the panel yet, so check the proxy with your provider first. The app refuses to open an account that has none.
- 04
Add your first X account with its session
Add the account with its username, password and auth_token cookie, then assign it the proxy. With the cookie it starts active; without one it waits for a password login on the first task.
- 05
Let the first task finish
Queue a test task on the Tasks page. The app opens the account in its own browser and reports whether it is logged in. When that task shows completed, the setup works.
After the fifth step the server-side scheduler hands out the follow targets you paste on an account, one at a time, to the app on your computer. Likes, replies and follows on posts you choose are scheduled through the MCP server, within the hourly caps. What the posting and routines pages configure runs on the operator worker, which the hosted beta does not run yet; the next section says so.
The other half of the page
What is not finished
A beta page that only lists what works is an advert. These are the things you will run into, read from the code on the day this page was written.
- Payments are not switched on
- The Starter, Pro and Team plans are on the pricing page with their prices, but no payment provider is connected yet, so nothing can be bought. If you need more than 2 accounts during the beta, send a request from the Billing page in the app or write to hello@flottra.com; we raise the limit by hand and nothing is charged.
- Windows only, for now
- The desktop app ships as a Windows installer. macOS and Linux builds are configured in the project but have not been published, so nothing on this page links to them. The Windows build is not code signed, hence the SmartScreen warning on first install.
- The operator worker is not hosted yet
- Login checks, likes, follows, replies and profile changes run on your computer, and the server-side scheduler hands out the follow targets you paste. Scheduled posts, AI written posts, the posting and growth routines and DM campaigns are queued for an operator worker the hosted beta does not run yet; tasks of those kinds stay pending until it does.
- X changes, things break
- flottra drives the real X website in a real browser. When X changes a page, an action can stop working until the app is updated. The Tasks page shows the failure with the line the app logged, and Report a problem sends it to us with the context attached.
- Deleting a workspace is by email
- You can delete accounts and proxies yourself and export both first. The Delete workspace button in Settings is not switched on yet; write to hello@flottra.com from the address on the workspace and we remove it and confirm.
- It is a beta
- Expect rough edges in the panel, wording that changes, and the occasional task that fails for a reason the log explains badly. Every one of those is worth a message: the feedback inbox and the Discord are both read by the people who can change it, and the Discord is where we say what broke and what shipped.
What X says about this, quoted
The automation rules (updated April 2026, read 21 September 2026) say you "may not follow or unfollow X accounts in a bulk, aggressive, or indiscriminate manner", that you "may not like posts or hide replies in an automated manner", that you "may not send unsolicited Direct Messages in a bulk or automated manner", and that scripting the X website "may result in the permanent suspension of your account".
flottra is browser automation and it does automate likes, follows and messages. It does not claim those rules do not apply. What it does is refuse the shape of activity X names: no bursts, hourly caps per account, a warming ramp for new accounts, quiet hours on each account's own clock, one proxy per account. That reduces the rate at which accounts are locked or suspended. It does not make it zero, and nobody can. The long version is in why X accounts get suspended.
Questions
Questions people ask before joining
- Is the beta really free?
- Yes. Every workspace starts on the Free plan: 2 X accounts, nothing charged, and no end date on it. It is the same Free plan the pricing page lists, not a trial that converts into a bill. The paid plans are on the pricing page with their prices, but no payment provider is connected yet, so nothing can be bought or charged during the beta.
- Do I need a credit card?
- No. Creating a workspace asks for a name, an email and a password, and nothing else. There is no card field anywhere in the panel, because payments are not switched on yet; a request for more accounts is handled by hand and nothing is charged. You can leave at any time by deleting your accounts and proxies and writing to us to remove the workspace.
- How many accounts can I run in the beta?
- 2 on the Free plan, which is the limit the panel enforces when you add an account. If you need more during the beta, send a request from the Billing page in the app or write to hello@flottra.com with how many you run and what they should do; we raise the limit by hand. The practical ceiling is your own computer and proxies: every account gets its own Chrome window on your machine, through its own proxy.
- What happens when the beta ends?
- Your workspace, accounts, proxies and settings stay where they are; nothing is wiped when the beta label comes off. The Free plan keeps its 2 accounts. If your workspace was given a higher limit by hand during the beta and you want to keep it, that becomes a paid plan when payments are switched on, and we will write to you before anything changes rather than after.
- Which computers does it run on?
- Windows today: the desktop app ships as a 64-bit installer that updates itself. macOS and Linux builds are configured in the project but have not been published, so nothing on this page links to them. The computer has to be awake with the app open for work to happen; a laptop that sleeps pauses its share, and the tasks wait in the queue until it is back.
- Do I need my own proxies?
- Yes. flottra does not sell proxies and never routes your traffic through its servers; the app on your computer connects to X through the proxy you assign to each account. One proxy per account is the rule, from a provider you trust, residential, ISP or mobile. The app refuses to open an account that has no proxy, so add one before the first task.
- Can I delete everything and leave?
- Yes. You can delete each X account and proxy yourself from the panel, and export both as text first, secrets included, so nothing is held hostage. The Delete workspace button in Settings is not switched on yet, so to remove the workspace and your login, email hello@flottra.com from the address on the workspace; we confirm when the deletion is done, as the privacy policy sets out.
- Where do I ask questions?
- In the flottra Discord, where the people who built it answer in the open and post every release and every fix, or by email to hello@flottra.com. Report a problem inside the app sends the page, the app version and your operating system with the message, so use that for a task that failed; use the Discord for everything you would ask before connecting an account.
