Dolphin Anty is a general antidetect browser: it gives you many isolated browser profiles for any website and leaves what happens inside them to you. flottra is narrower. It keeps each X account in its own browser too, but it also does the X work: following, posting and profile edits, paced per account and scheduled from a panel. What Dolphin Anty is and does well

Dolphin Anty (its maker writes it Dolphin{anty}) is a Chromium-based antidetect browser available for Windows, Linux and macOS. Each browser profile carries its own fingerprint, cookies and proxy, so several accounts on the same site do not look like one machine. Its homepage says 860,000 people and 2,200 teams use it every day.

It keeps its engine current. A blog post from August 2026 describes an upgrade to Chromium 144 with ten CVE patches. On the proxy side it takes HTTP, SOCKS4, SOCKS5 and SSH, assigns one proxy per profile or many at once, and integrates with proxy providers rather than selling its own traffic.

Automation is generic and capable. The scenario builder lets you chain action blocks without code, there is a synchronizer, and paid plans open a remote and local API with Selenium, Puppeteer and Playwright support. Team plans add roles (Admin, Team Lead and User), profile and folder sharing with permissions, and profile transfer between accounts.

What it does not have is anything for X in particular. Its first-party pages show no X templates, and the scenario store is marked as coming soon. If you want X accounts to follow or post on a schedule, you build and maintain that flow yourself.

How flottra differs

The browser part

flottra is a web panel plus a Windows desktop app. The panel keeps track of what should happen and when; the app, on your own computer, opens a real, visible browser for each account and does the work there. No browser runs on flottra’s servers, and nothing ever runs headless.

Every account gets a persistent profile (its cookies stay in the account’s own folder on your disk), a proxy and a fingerprint. The browser is flottra Engine, its own Chromium-based build. Canvas, WebGL, audio, fonts, GPU strings and screen differ per account and stay the same on every launch and every computer, while timezone, language and location follow the proxy’s exit IP. A proxy is required: without one, the account’s browser does not open. The X part

This is what Dolphin Anty leaves to you and flottra ships as ready tasks:

• Following from a pasted list of up to 500 usernames per account, plus optional discovery through X people search. See how auto follow works.
• Posting text posts: one-off posts you write, or a posting routine where your own AI key (or your own Claude Code through MCP) writes the text.
• Profile edits: display name, bio, website, avatar, header, username and password, one account at a time or in bulk.
• Session checks: whether an account is logged in, locked or suspended.
• Likes and replies only through Pods (Pro and Team) or tasks planned over the MCP server, with reply text you provide.

Pacing is built in rather than something you script. A follow routine does at most one follow per 5 minutes per account, 6 an hour by default and 80 a day under the growth defaults, between 09:00 and 22:00 in the account’s own time. The warming gate holds new accounts back: 3 actions a day for days 0 to 2 with no follows, 6 for days 3 to 6, 12 for days 7 to 13, then open. Routine posting waits for the first 14 days.

Where Dolphin Anty is the better choice

• You work on more than X. Ads accounts, marketplaces, other social networks: Dolphin Anty profiles work on any site. flottra only does X.
• You are on a Mac or Linux. Dolphin Anty ships for Windows, macOS and Linux. flottra’s app is Windows only.
• A team shares the profiles. Roles, profile sharing with permissions and profile transfer are built in. flottra has no team seats or invites.
• You need many profiles cheaply. Starter begins at $10 a month for 20 profiles and Enterprise scales past 1,000. flottra prices per X account and includes the X work, so it costs more per account.
• You want to script everything yourself. An API with Selenium, Puppeteer and Playwright gives developers full control. flottra offers ready tasks and an MCP server, not a browser automation API.
• Your proxies are SOCKS or SSH. Dolphin Anty takes both, alongside HTTP. flottra wants residential, mobile or ISP proxies over HTTP.

What flottra does not do

• No macOS, Linux or mobile app. No cloud browser: if your computer is off, tasks wait.
• No profiles for other platforms; everything is built around X.
• No unfollow, no DMs, no retweets, quotes, threads, polls, or image and video posts.
• No automatic like or reply routine, and no AI-written replies.
• No captcha solving; an email or phone check at login stops and waits for you. It does not create accounts, sell accounts or sell proxies.
• No post analytics, no team seats, no 2FA on the panel.

X rules and risk

Using a Dolphin Anty profile by hand is ordinary browsing. Once a scenario or a script acts on x.com for you, it falls under the same line in X’s automation rules as flottra does. The rules list, among things not to do:

• “Use non-API-based forms of automation, such as scripting the X website. The use of these techniques may result in the permanent suspension of your account.”
• “You may not like posts or hide replies in an automated manner.”
• “You may not follow or unfollow X accounts in a bulk, aggressive, or indiscriminate manner.”

Moving X accounts from Dolphin Anty to flottra

1. Collect each account’s logins. flottra takes a bulk paste, one account per line: username:password[:email[:emailpassword[:2fasecret]]][:auth_token]. An auth_token cookie is the recommended way in; otherwise it logs in with the password and generates the 2FA code in the app.
2. Give each account a proxy. Reusing the one it had in Dolphin Anty keeps its IP history consistent, as long as it is residential, mobile or ISP and works over HTTP.
3. Expect a new fingerprint. flottra Engine assigns its own per account, so X will see the account on a different device than in Dolphin Anty.
4. Plan for the warming gate. It counts from the day you add the account to flottra, not from the account’s age, so even an old account starts at 3 actions a day.
